Biography

Paul Zsombor-Murray is an Associate Professor at McGill University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. With extensive experience in mechanical design and manufacturing, he leads the Robotic Mechanical Systems Laboratory where his research focuses on design simplification mechanisms, kinematic mapping, and measurement techniques involving quadric surfaces using minimal data points. His work also encompasses the analysis and synthesis of various mechanical systems, including quadric surfaces and accelerometers, integrating concepts of Platonic symmetry and elasto-extensor designs. Paul’s contributions to the field of mechanical engineering are reflected in his current projects that aim to innovate in the areas of structural stability and efficiency in mechanical design.
