Paula Hastings received her PhD in History from Duke University. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Historical and Cultural Studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough and participates in the Tri-Campus Graduate Program at the university. Hastings has a diverse range of publications, contributing to significant dialogues in Canadian history, including explorations of transnational black resistance and the complexities of Canada-Caribbean relations during the early twentieth century.
