Biography

Paule Halley is a full professor at the Faculty of Law of Laval University, where she teaches environmental law. She holds the Canada Research Chair in Environmental Law. Professor Halley is the author of many articles and books devoted to environmental law and sustainable development and is frequently invited to participate in events both nationally and internationally. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including the Michel-Jurdant Prize in Environmental Sciences from the Association francophone pour le savoir (2015), and the Scientific Prize of Francophonie awarded by the Scientific Council of the Agence universitaire de la francophonie (2005). She also received the 'Best Monograph' award from the Bar Foundation of Quebec for her book titled "Environmental Criminal Law" (2003).
