Dr. Pauline Ho

Biography

Pauline Ho is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary and holds the position of Honorary Professor at the University of Manchester. She obtained her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff with Honors, later completing an intercalated degree in Biochemistry. Her specialized training in Rheumatology took place in Northwest England, culminating in a Master's degree in Clinical Rheumatology from the University of Manchester in 2003 and a PhD investigating the genetics of Psoriatic Arthritis, awarded in 2007. Since then, she has been active in both clinical practice and research, focusing on musculoskeletal ultrasound and special interests such as spondyloarthropathies, particularly in dedicated clinics for patients with ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. As a principal investigator, she leads clinical research studies at the Kellgren Centre for Rheumatology, engaging in projects that include ultrasound-guided synovial biopsy studies and various observational studies on investigative medicines. Pauline is recognized for her contributions to rheumatology through the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre and has been a key figure in advancing clinical research and education in her field.
