Pauline LeVen is a Professor at Yale University in the Department of Classics, with a courtesy appointment in Music. She studied at Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and the Sorbonne before earning a joint PhD from Princeton University in 2008. LeVen was a Fulbright student from 2001 to 2002 and received a Phi Beta Kappa Sibley Fellowship in Greek Studies during 2007 to 2008. Currently, she is working on her monograph 'Greek Poetry Anthropocene' which explores the claims of lyric poetry about the non-human world. Her research interests include Greek Literature, Literary Criticism, and Musical Culture.
