Dr. Pauline Ridge

Biography

Professor Pauline Ridge is a scholar specializing in private law and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has authored and co-edited numerous publications, including the book 'Fault Lines in Equity' and 'Accessories to Private Law'. Her research focuses on equity, restitution, property law, and contract law, with a significant emphasis on human rights law and the intersection of religion and law. She has conducted doctrinal and historical research into the legal regulations surrounding religious financing and has contributed to discussions on the implications of religious charity law and mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse. Professor Ridge previously served as the Director of the Centre for Commercial Law at the ANU College of Law and is a member of the Charity Law Association in Australia and New Zealand. Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the ANU, where she received the University Medal, as well as a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford. Additionally, she has held visiting fellowships at institutions such as the Asian Law Institute at the National University of Singapore and Oxford Brookes University.
