Biography

Paulo Lozano is the Miguel Alemán Velasco Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He focuses on developing innovative space propulsion technologies and is particularly interested in the advancement of small, relatively inexpensive spacecraft for deep-space exploration and discovery. He holds a degree in Industrial Physics Engineering from ITESM, Mexico, and advanced degrees from CINVESTAV, and MIT including a PhD.
