Biography

Dr. Pear Ferreira is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Queen's University, Canada. He has extensive experience in ophthalmic vitreoretinal research and has held several leadership roles, including Vice-Chair of Ophthalmology Care Services at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. Dr. Ferreira's educational background includes a PhD in Clinical Sciences from Chulalongkorn University, a Master's in Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and various fellowships in vitreoretinal surgery and research at prestigious institutions including the University of Toronto and the University of California, San Francisco. His research interests are focused on ophthalmic treatments and advancements in vision care, particularly in diabetic eye diseases and retinal conditions. He has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications in high-impact journals, covering various aspects of retinal research, including the evaluation of new treatment methods and the impact of social factors on eye health.
