Biography

Peide Peter Ye is the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Fudan University in Shanghai, China, in 1988, and a PhD from the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1996. His research focuses on semiconductor physics devices, including nano-structures, nano-fabrications, quantum and spin-transport, as well as two-dimensional materials such as graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), and black phosphorus telluride (BP Te). He is also involved in atomic layer deposition techniques, high-k ferroelectric dielectrics, and the development of high-performance III-V MOSFETs and germanium CMOS technologies. His work is critical to advancing the field of electronic materials and device integration, particularly in three-dimensional integrations.
