Biography

Peng Song is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He received his PhD in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University in August 2013. Prior to joining SUTD, he worked as a research scientist at EPFL, associate researcher at the University of Science and Technology of China, and research fellow at Nanyang Technological University. His research interests focus on computer graphics with a particular emphasis on modeling, processing, and designing digital 3D geometry. He is especially interested in geometric modeling and computational design of complex 3D assemblies that find applications in personal recreation, architecture, mechanisms, and robotics. Dr. Song has published extensively in leading conferences and journals in computer graphics such as SIGGRAPH, Asia, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Eurographics, and ACM CHI. He is currently recruiting motivated PhD students, visiting students, and research assistants with a strong interest in computer graphics, particularly in geometry modeling and computational design.
