Dr. Peng Xu

Biography

Peng Xu holds a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Management Science from Aalto University School of Business in Espoo, Finland. His primary research areas include management science, operations research, and business analytics. Specifically, his work focuses on data-driven decision analytics, developing both prescriptive and descriptive decision support models and systems, alongside applying data science and mathematical optimization techniques to address problems in production, operations management, economics, finance, and healthcare. He has published scholarly research in top-tier journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research and the International Review of Financial Analysis. His research has been funded by prestigious organizations including the British Academy in the UK and the Marcus Wallenberg Foundation in Finland. Xu's current research interests also include stochastic dominance, cumulative prospect theory, behavioral finance, and portfolio optimization analysis.
