Dr. Pengbo Zhou

Biography

Pengbo Zhou is a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cornell University. With a focus on the mechanisms of action of UBR5 in tumorigenesis and immunoregulation, Dr. Zhou has contributed extensively to the understanding of ubiquitin signaling pathways in prostate cancer. His research interests include the roles of ubiquitin ligases in cancer cell biology, particularly in the context of DNA damage response and gene regulation. He has led various research initiatives, including projects funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, and has a significant background in the molecular mechanisms of cancer development and treatment. Dr. Zhou has authored numerous articles in prestigious journals throughout his career, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of pathology and laboratory medicine. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Peking University, China, in 1987 and has been affiliated with the University of Michigan Medical School since 1993.
