Biography

Penny completed her MBBS degree in 1987 at Shanghai Medical University and practiced medicine in China before moving to Australia. In 2005, she earned a Master of Clinical Embryology from Monash University. Since 2008, Penny has worked as a Practical Units Coordinator in the Department of Education Program in Reproductive and Development (EPRD), where she is involved in teaching and running laboratories for the Master of Clinical Embryology program. She has developed a paired learning program for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) training and is a core member of management, teaching, and research initiatives associated with local and international workshops. Penny supervises research projects for Master students and supports collaborations with the Hudson Institute and Monash School of Clinical Science, as well as external researchers. She possesses multi-skills in administration, managing EPRD's admissions and student matters. Penny has received the Quiet Achiever Award from Monash School of Clinical Science twice, in 2009 and 2013.
