Pepijn Brandon is a Full Professor of Global Economic and Social History at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Senior Researcher at the International Institute of Social History. He has also overseen major research initiatives regarding the historical role of slavery in Amsterdam and has served on the editorial boards of notable academic journals. His teaching and research engagements include fellowships at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and the University of Pittsburgh.
