Biography

Professor Per-Henrik Groop graduated from the University of Helsinki in 1982 and has had an extensive academic career. He served as Professor of Nephrology from 2010 to 2015 and is currently the Professor of Internal Medicine (Chair) at the University of Helsinki. In addition, he holds an adjunct professorship in the Department of Diabetes at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Groop’s expertise is aligned with various UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those aimed at alleviating poverty and ensuring prosperity.
