Biography

Mid-1990s, Per Dannemand Andersen’s research interests have focused on research innovation strategies in industrial sectors and technology foresight. Currently, his interests emphasize understanding development processes and joint research innovation strategies in these sectors, particularly stakeholder inclusion and priority-setting in science, technology, and innovation (STI). He has been involved in numerous research advisory projects across Danish, Nordic, European, and international contexts. With colleagues and partners, he carried out technology foresight research projects concerning technologies such as wind turbines, fuel cells, hydrogen energy, sensor technology, and nanotechnology, impacting industrial sectors, including agri-food and science & technology parks. Throughout his academic career, he has engaged in management and administration of research groups. From 1999 to 2010, he headed a group focused on technology foresight, was head of the division of Technology Innovation Management from 2012 to 2021, and served as deputy head of DTU’s Department of Management Engineering from 2016 to 2019. Currently, he is the head of the PhD school within the Department of Technology, Management, and Economics, and a study leader for the BSc program in Data Science Management. His expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals established in 2015, contributing to global efforts to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all.
