Biography

Per Delsing is a Full Professor at Chalmers University of Technology since 1997, specializing in Quantum Technology and Microtechnology Nanoscience. His research focuses on the quantum properties of superconducting devices, particularly studies of artificial atoms based on superconducting circuits and their interaction with microwave photons. He is also investigating the placement of artificial atoms on piezoelectric surfaces to explore interactions with phonons and the formation of Surface Acoustic Waves (SAWs). Delsing studies quantum information using superconducting qubits, aiming to build a quantum computer. He teaches a course on Superconductivity and low temperature physics. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA) and the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). Additionally, he has been appointed as a Distinguished Professor by the Swedish Research Council (VR), is a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), and is recognized as a Wallenberg Scholar.
