Biography

Docent Rudqvist received his PhD in 1997 and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience at Chalmers University of Technology. His research interests encompass device physics, chiral liquid crystals, focus optics, and electro-optic effects and their applications. He has published approximately 70 research papers in journals, proceedings, and textbook chapters. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors for the International Liquid Crystal Society from 2004 to 2012. In 2010, he was awarded the Arnbergska Priset by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Furthermore, he is a co-founder of Orthocone Innovation Technologies AB in Göteborg, Sweden, specializing in developments of orthoconic antiferroelectric liquid crystals applications.
