Dr. Per Zetterlund

Biography

Prof. Zetterlund is a full professor at the Cluster for Advanced Macromolecular Design (CAMD) School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales. He has significant expertise in polymer synthesis, characterization, polymeric nanoparticles, and hybrid polymeric materials with applications in materials science and nanomedicine. He runs a large research group and has received substantial funding from the Australian Research Council and industry partners such as Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Nitto. Zetterlund graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1994 and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Leeds, UK, in 1998. He conducted postdoctoral research at Griffith University before becoming an Assistant Professor at Osaka City University in Japan in 1999 and later moved to Kobe University. In 2009, he joined the University of New South Wales as a full professor. His research program has published approximately 220 peer-reviewed papers with an H-index of 50.
