Dr. Peretz Friedmann

Biography

Peretz Friedmann is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has a distinguished career in research and education, focusing on the fields of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics. Friedmann has contributed significantly to various aspects of helicopter fixed-wing aeroelasticity, including active control for helicopter vibrations and noise reduction. His research interests extend to aerothermoelasticity in hypersonic vehicles and unsteady aerodynamics, making notable advancements in optimization and structural dynamics.
