Biography

Perri Tutelman is a Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. She holds the inaugural Transdisciplinary Chair in Digital Mental Health. Tutelman obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Dalhousie University in 2022 and completed a predoctoral residency in Pediatric and Child Clinical Psychology at Alberta Children's Hospital, Calgary. She is currently involved in a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychosocial Oncology at the University of Calgary, which will conclude in 2024. Her research focuses on child, adolescent, and young adult psychosocial oncology and digital mental health, where she aims to develop novel patient-oriented interventions to support the well-being of young individuals diagnosed with cancer. Tutelman closely collaborates with patient partners to co-design research that addresses the needs of patients and their families. Her work has received international recognition, including acknowledgment from the Royal Society of Canada and the World Health Organization for addressing the burden of cancer-related chronic pain in children.
