Biography

PB Berge is an award-winning media scholar and game designer, known for their involvement in experimental game design and feminist platform studies. As an Assistant Professor, they are cross-appointed in the Media & Technology Studies Program and the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta. Their research focuses on themes such as trans game design, so-called 'unplayable' games, and toxic technocultures. Berge's work has been published in several academic journals, including New Media & Society and Game Studies, and they actively participate in various academic communities, such as the Discord Academic Research Community.
