Biography

Peter Bang is a Professor and Head of the Division of Pediatrics at Linköping University, specializing in Children's and Women's Health. He has over 25 years of research experience in the GH-IGF field and has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. He graduated from the Engineering School at the Technical University of Copenhagen and the University of Copenhagen Medical School. He completed his PhD under the supervision of Professor Kerstin Hall at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Additionally, he has undergone postdoctoral training under Professor Ron Rosenfeld at Stanford University, CA, USA, focusing on Pediatric Endocrine training at the Karolinska University Hospital. His long-standing research interest is in the regulation of IGF-I bioactivity, particularly in relation to growth disorders and diabetes.
