Biography

Peter Boatwright is the co-founder and director of the Integrated Innovation Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where he holds the Allan D. Shocker Professorship in Marketing. He is an expert in innovation education and has co-authored several books. Peter teaches coursework related to product innovation, brand strategy, new product management, pricing strategy, and market research. As Program Director, he drives the vision for the Institute's online programs, regularly collaborating with faculty to develop and refine the curriculum. Additionally, Peter has consulted for leading companies across diverse industries, including Nissan, Apple, and Merck, among others. He joined the faculty at the Tepper School of Business in 1997 and has taught business coursework at CMU's campus in Doha, Qatar. Peter originally hails from Denton, Texas, and enjoys spending his free time focused on being a dad.
