Biography

Dr. Peter Caracappa is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics at Columbia University. He has over 20 years of experience as a health physicist and has served as Chief Radiation Safety Officer at Columbia. He has authored and co-authored 25 peer-reviewed papers and has presented at over 100 conferences on topics such as computational dosimetry and radiation protection. Dr. Caracappa is also known for his contributions to the response to the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear accident and has been featured in numerous media outlets.
