Biography

Peter Dahlberg received an undergraduate degree from McGill University in 2011 and completed his Ph.D. in Biophysics at the University of Chicago in 2016. He joined Stanford to work with W. E. Moerner and Wah Chiu in developing correlative light-electron microscopy methods, which provide highly specific insights into the structures and functions of cellular machinery. In 2021, he was awarded the SLAC’s Panofsky Fellowship to further his research in correlative microscopy. In 2023, he transitioned to a Staff Scientist role at SLAC, continuing his focus on advanced microscopy techniques. Dahlberg is actively involved in multiple teaching roles and has supervised numerous doctoral and postdoctoral students in his lab. His academic interests bridge photon science and structural biology, emphasizing innovative imaging methodologies that enhance our understanding of biological systems.
