Dr. Peter Davies

Biography

Peter J.A. Davies, MD, PhD is a Professor and the Associate Director at the Center for Translational Cancer Research (CTCR) as well as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Biosciences and Technology. He has a diverse educational background including a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Cornell University and both a Medical Doctor and Philosophiae Doctor degrees from the University of Miami. His postgraduate training was at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at the National Cancer Institute from 1975 to 1979, where he contributed to significant advancements in cancer research. His research primarily focuses on translational cancer research, which aims to bridge the gap between laboratory findings and clinical applications. Dr. Davies has been involved in numerous studies and publications, emphasizing the importance of effective treatment strategies for cancer patients. His dedication to the field has positioned him as a respected figure in cancer research and education.
