Biography

Peter Dinda is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Northwestern University, holding an additional appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has over five years of experience leading the Computer Engineering Systems division in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Dinda earned his B.S. in Electrical Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Dinda is a major contributor to several large publicly available codebases and holds five patents. He is also interested in empathic systems that enhance user satisfaction and systems-level decision-making. Dinda is a Fellow of the IEEE.
