Dr. Peter Frise

Biography

Professor Peter Frise is a distinguished academic in the field of Mechanical, Automotive & Materials Engineering. He holds a B.Sc. (Eng.) and M.Sc. (Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, completed in 1981 and 1984 respectively, and obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University in 1991. His extensive research interests encompass mechanical design and packaging studies, plastic molding technologies, machinery troubleshooting, and the fatigue of large welded structures. He is also involved in the development, management, and governance of R&D programs. As an active member of the engineering community, he is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and has received honors as a Fellow of both the Canadian Academy of Engineering and Engineers Canada. His contributions to the field are recognized through his leadership roles within various engineering boards and committees.
