Biography

Peter Hatemi is a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Pennsylvania State University, where he is also a research fellow at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. He trained in Political Science at the University of Nebraska and specialized in genetic epidemiology at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR). He has contributed significantly to the fields of political attitudes, fear dispositions, mate selection, addiction, personality, political violence, and religion, with his work published in various prestigious journals. His recent co-edited book with Rose McDermott, titled "Man Nature Political Animal," published by the University of Chicago Press, provides a comprehensive volume examining the roles of evolution, genetics, primatology, neuroscience, and physiology in understanding political preferences.
