Biography

Peter Jaskiewicz, a full professor at the Telfer School of Management, specializes in family business studies. Growing up in a business family in Poland and switching to Germany, his interest in understanding succession in family businesses drove him to conduct research during his doctoral studies at the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel, with visits to renowned institutions like INSEAD and IESE Business School. Jaskiewicz founded and leads the Family Enterprise Legacy Institute and focuses on the interdisciplinary research avenues incorporating sociology, psychology, management, finance, and family science. His scholarly contributions have been published in prominent journals, resulting in recognition for globally influential research in family business. Jaskiewicz has presented his research to members of the European Parliament and the United Nations, showcasing the international impact of his work. He also serves as an associate editor for the Family Business Review and has acted as a visiting professor at several prestigious universities worldwide. His dedication extends to training professionals in family businesses, offering expertise in succession planning and development.
