Dr. Peter Kail

Biography

Peter Kail is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and a Fellow Tutor at St. Peter's College, University of Oxford, where he focuses on Early Modern Philosophy. He has held various academic positions including a Lectureship at the University of Edinburgh and a Junior Research Fellowship at St. Edmund's College, Cambridge. His research interests encompass significant topics within Early Modern thought, particularly those relating to Hume, Berkeley, Nietzsche, and the implications of their ideas on naturalism and realism. Kail's publications include edited volumes, monographs, and numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, highlighting his contributions to the discourse on Hume and related philosophers. He is a recipient of notable fellowships, such as the British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
