Dr. Peter Kavelaars

Biography

Peter Kavelaars is a full professor in Fiscal Economics at the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam. His academic career began in 1996, and he has held various research and advisory positions, including director of the Academic Desk at Deloitte Tax Advisers in Rotterdam. He was a professor of Tax Law at Leiden University and has worked within the Fiscal Economic Institute at Erasmus University, contributing significantly to government tax policies as a tax inspector seconded to the Department of Public Finances and Tax Law. Kavelaars serves as the chief editor for multiple financial publications, including the Pension Memorandum and Fiscal Notebook, and has authored and co-authored several books in his field.
