Peter Kuling teaches courses on introductions to theatre performance, theatre history, dramaturgy, ensemble practices, digital performance, and special topics in media theory and performance technology. His research focuses on early modern Canadian theatre performance theory, theatrical adaptations, digital media, video games, virtual reality, professional sports, and queer history. Kuling has edited special issues of journals such as Digital Performance, Theatre Sports, and Drag, and has contributed to anthologies including Gender Theatre, and Shakespeare Canada. He works as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Performance Arts & Digital Media and has directed innovative Shakespeare VR projects in partnership with SimWave VR, aimed at enhancing educational experiences for high school, college, and university students. Currently, he is completing a monograph on the subjects of Virtual Reality, Theatre, Performance, and Interactivity. His future projects include a critical edition of Thomas Heywood's "Fair Maid of the West" Parts 1 and 2, set to be published by Routledge, and a bilingual critical edition in collaboration with the University of Ottawa Press.
