Biography

Peter Lindstedt studied at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, earning an MEng in Chemical Engineering in 1980. He then pursued his PhD at Imperial College London in the Department of Chemical Engineering from 1981 to 1984, later becoming a Research Associate. Lindstedt transitioned to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where he held positions as Lecturer and Reader, ultimately being awarded the title of Professor in Thermofluids in 1999. He served as the head of the Thermofluids Division from 2000 to 2010, and as Director of Research from 2003 to 2013, alongside various leadership roles in the Faculty of Engineering. An accomplished researcher, he has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed significantly to conference proceedings. Lindstedt has been active in numerous professional committees, including serving as Director of the International Board of the Combustion Institute from 2006 to 2018. He also played a pivotal role in the Technical Program of prominent combustion symposia. His consultancy includes work pertaining to high hydrogen content fuels and performance propulsion applications, and he contributed to the LPG industry recommendations that received ministerial approval.
