Biography

Peter Navario is a Clinical Associate Professor at NYU School of Global Public Health with extensive field experience in establishing, monitoring, and evaluating HIV/AIDS treatment programs, as well as enhancing health system capacity in sub-Saharan Africa. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of HealthRight International and has acted as a chair for the Botswana Ministry of Health’s National HIV/AIDS Health Professional Training Committee. Notably, he was the lead evaluator for the World Bank’s Treatment Access Programme in Burkina Faso. Dr. Navario is a fellow of the Global Health Council, contributing to various foreign relations initiatives. Throughout his career, he has published and lectured on scaling access to HIV/AIDS treatment with leaders of the Joint United Nations HIV/AIDS Program (UNAIDS). His work has included acting as a Technical Advisor for numerous UNAIDS initiatives related to the Post-2015 Development Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
