Biography

Peter O'Connor is a lecturer specializing in Modern American History at the University of Manchester, with a focus on Anglo-American culture and politics during the nineteenth century. His scholarly work includes published articles that examine Thomas Jefferson's legacy in Britain and John Quincy Adams' pro-Confederate activism during the American Civil War. He authored a monograph titled 'American Sectionalism in the British Mind 1832-1863', published by LSU Press in 2017.
