Biography

Peter Rosa is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where he holds the George David Chair in Entrepreneurship and Family Business. He earned his BA and PhD from Dunelm and has previously taught at the University of Stirling, where he also worked as Director of Research at the Scottish Enterprise Foundation and directed the full-time MBA program. Rosa was instrumental in establishing the Stirling University Centre for Entrepreneurship and has been involved in various research and academic leadership positions since 1987. His research primarily focuses on entrepreneurship and economic development within developing economies, including Uganda and Sri Lanka. He has a particular interest in the black economy in Africa, habitual entrepreneurship, the formation of business groups, and female entrepreneurship, especially concerning female academic entrepreneurs. In November 2004, he transitioned to the University of Edinburgh, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of entrepreneurship.
