Biography

Peter Sundström is a Professor of Neurology and a senior consultant physician at Norrlands University Hospital, affiliated with Umeå University. His research primarily focuses on environmental risk factors associated with multiple sclerosis (MS). He has a substantial background in this field, as evidenced by his doctoral thesis completed in 2003, which examined the epidemiology of multiple sclerosis and included studies utilizing presymptomatic biobank samples. In addition, he chairs the MS Association's research board since 2017, working to advance research projects in the field.
