Peter Taylor is a Professor in the Department of Earth and Space Science and Engineering at York University since 1988. He has extensive experience in atmospheric science, focusing on a variety of atmospheric boundary layer studies using numerical models, analyzing data, and conducting field programs. Prior to joining York University, he was a senior research scientist at Environment Canada and taught Mathematics at the University of Toronto, as well as Physical Oceanography at the University of Southampton in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society and was awarded the Patterson Distinguished Service Medal in 1998 for his distinguished service to meteorology in Canada.
