Dr. Peter Thompson

Biography

Peter Thompson joined Scheller College of Business in 2014, bringing substantial experience from prior faculty roles at Emory University, Florida International University, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Houston. His research interests span theoretical and empirical work in areas such as endogenous growth theory, industry evolution, entrepreneurship, organizational learning, and medical decision-making. An accomplished educator, Peter has taught economics courses at the Ph.D., MBA, and undergraduate levels, covering major areas of the field. He holds a Ph.D. in Food Resource Economics from the University of Florida (1993) and master's and bachelor's degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of East Anglia (UK, 1985) and the University of Reading (UK, 1984), respectively.
