Biography

Peter D. Wong graduated from the University of the West Indies before obtaining postgraduate training in Paediatric Medicine and Critical Care Cardiology at SickKids. He holds an MPH and PhD in epidemiology and has extensive experience in public health leadership and governance. He serves as an Academic Clinician in Community Paediatric Medicine and is a Project Investigator in Child Health Evaluative Sciences at the SickKids Research Institute. Dr. Wong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics and is cross-appointed at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. His research interests focus on early life exposures, child health, and health policy. He has been funded by multiple organizations, including the PSI Foundation and SickKids Foundation. Dr. Wong advocates for neighborhood structures that promote health equity and has served on various boards, including the Board of Health City Toronto and the Association of Local Public Health Agencies. He is recognized for his service by the American College of Preventive Medicine and the Canadian Paediatric Society.
