Biography

Petr received his PhD from the California Institute of Technology in 2018. He held postdoctoral positions at the Institute for Advanced Study from 2018 to 2021 and at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics in 2021 before joining King's College London in 2022. His research interests focus on non-perturbative aspects of Quantum Field Theories, particularly Conformal Field Theories (CFTs) across multiple dimensions. CFTs are central to various areas of theoretical physics, including phase transitions and critical phenomena, as well as renormalisation group flows and AdS/CFT correspondence. Petr has a distinct expertise in the conformal bootstrap, a robust framework for examining non-perturbative CFTs, with a substantial amount of his research revolving around numerical methods that harness High-Performance Computing (HPC) to extract precise information from CFTs. A significant part of his work investigates the structure and spectrum of CFTs through concepts such as Regge trajectories, light-ray operators, and asymptotic observables.
