Biography

Petra Boström is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg in the Department of Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Gothenburg and has also undertaken undergraduate studies at Queen's University of Belfast, as well as at the University of Gothenburg in Conflict Management and Social Anthropology. Dr. Boström’s research interests include children with intellectual disabilities, particularly within large-scale surveys related to mental health. She collaborates with colleagues Malin Broberg and Jakob Åsberg to develop innovative methods for assessing the mental health of children in special education settings. Her current research investigates the state mental health of pupils aged 12-15, shedding light on factors such as peer relations, family context, and school climate as they relate to mental health outcomes.
