Professor Petros Faloutsos joined York University in 2011. Prior to joining York, he was a faculty member in the Computer Science Department at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), where he founded the computer graphics lab in 2002 and served as the lab’s director until 2011. He received his PhD degree in 2002 and MSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, Canada, and BEng degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Faloutsos is a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Visual Computer and has served as Program Co-Chair for the ACM SIGGRAPH/Eurographics Symposium on Computer Animation in 2005 and the Motion Games Conference in 2011. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
