Professor Petros Faloutsos joined York University in 2011. Prior to joining York, he was a faculty member in the Computer Science Department at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) starting in 2002, where he founded the computer graphics lab and served as the lab’s director until 2011. He holds a PhD (2002) and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, Canada, and a BEng in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Visual Computer and has served as Program Co-Chair for various significant conferences, including the ACM SIGGRAPH/Eurographics Symposium on Computer Animation in 2005 and the Motion Games Conference in 2011. He is also a member of ACM.
