Biography

Pezhman Moztar Zadeh, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Neurology. His interest in neurology began in childhood when he witnessed the effects of neurological conditions such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on people close to him. He completed his Neurology residency at West Virginia University, where he served as Chief Resident, and developed a keen interest in Neurophysiology. This led him to complete a fellowship in electromyography and neuromuscular diseases at Columbia University. Dr. Zadeh joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 to serve as the director of the stroke program and has been involved in teaching medical students at Boston University. His professional accolades include receiving the Chief Manager Partnership Award in 2020 and being named Physician of the Year in 2020. From 2004 to 2021, he was recognized with the Gold Award for Primary Stroke Center by the American Heart Association (AHA).
