Biography

Phil Vandewalle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University. He practices comprehensive family medicine including office-based care, inpatient hospital care, emergency room care, intrapartum obstetrics, and nursing home care. He has been serving as Chief of Medicine at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Over the years, he has contributed significantly as a board member of the Thames Valley Family Health Team, serving as Chair for several years as well as vice Chair and secretary. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Phil is committed to community service, having spent 12 years on the inaugural board of L’Arche London, a faith-based organization dedicated to enhancing the care needs of developmentally disabled individuals. He enjoys reading, watching sci-fi movies, gardening, and traveling with his family.
