Biography

Philip Morgan is a Professor of Optometry and the Head of Optometry at the University of Manchester. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney). With extensive experience, Philip's research is primarily focused on clinical performance in contact lenses. He has been involved in managing an international survey on contact lens prescribing trends since 1996. Throughout his career, he has been an influential figure, serving as President of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators and Past President of the Manchester Statistical Society. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association, and a member of the UK College of Optometrists. With over 200 publications, his work has examined the nature of the UK and international contact lens markets. Philip has presented his research in more than 30 countries. He has earned various accolades, including being awarded the BCLA Medallist in 2014 and the Max Schapero Award in 2019 from the American Academy of Optometry.
