Philip Rieder is a historian and Senior Lecturer at the University of Geneva. He holds a doctorate in letters and has been a fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation, working at the Institute of History of Medicine and the Department of General History. Rieder has authored a book on the history of medical training and has published numerous articles on medical knowledge, the social history of patients and caregivers.
